So It doesn't really seem possible that it is November. I've already seen snow! This is NUTS.
Some fun things to look out for in the calendar this month. A notable mention would be that The Bus Drivers are reuniting for a show at Talcott Mountain Collective on Friday November 17th. It has been five years since our last show at the Cambridge House, and they no longer have live music there so we opted for the next logical place to play. I am not usually one for nostalgia, and it's safe to say that none of us are quite the same people we were back then. I know I was having tremendous pain and had to resort to high beer consumption to be able to play. Not long after we stopped I would have neck surgery, I stopped playing altogether as the pain became too much to bear. Two years later I had hand surgery on both hands, which did the trick and leads me to where I am now, playing better than ever and WITHOUT PAIN. Sure I have some expected arthritis, as I am almost 50 and have been playing for 38 years. but that is manageable and I truly enjoy every moment I get to play again!
Plus, it is post Covid. It is a drastically different world we live in now, and perspectives have changed a bit. Five years back, nobody could have predicted where we are right now. For me, it will be great to have all my friends on the same stage, as right now I play with them all in separate band and duo situations. We always said it wasn't really that The Bus Drivers were breaking up, we were just burnt out and needed a break. We just looked at it like an extended vacation, eschewing the drama that plagues most band break ups.
So if you miss those days, or you MISSED seeing us in those days, be sure to come out!
That's all I got for now. Hopefully see you soon!
