I blinked and now it's October! Music in general has been slow going for me. There aren't many gigs for bands as most places are booking Solo and Duo acts. Unless I'm asked to play in a duo situation there isn't much for me to do I'm afraid. That's not to say there aren't ANY bands, and I managed to end up in one recently.
I have begun to play with a band called "Vibe Theory" that mainly plays private events and the occasional outdoor show at Harvest in West Hartford. The drummer Charlie Dye, who I played with in Bipolar Jukebox, asked me to sit in for a show for what I thought was a one off deal. Little did I know that he was hoping I'd get asked to join as they needed a guitar player and he was convinced I was the only one for the job. Great fun and great players. I will post the next show on this website if you are in the West Hartford area.
I also have begun to improve my recording situation so I can start composing my own stuff. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and I'm excited that it's finally happening. It's always fun recording guitar for other peoples stuff but doing my own will be a treat!
